The Startup Gujarat Scheme, backed by the Industries Commissionerate, Government of Gujarat, is a dedicated policy engine built to foster an innovation-driven economy. Facilitated directly through GUSEC, it gives emerging innovators stable operational sustenance and early seed capital.
By providing continuous monthly allowances alongside project development grants, the scheme mitigates operational personal risks for founders while financing prototype maturation, testing, and commercial rollout.

Financial Support & Grant Structure
Financial provisions under the Startup Gujarat Policy are categorized into operational and product development phases:
Sustenance Support
Monthly sustenance allowance up to ₹20,000/month (enhanced to ₹25,000/month for women founders) for up to 1 year.
Product Grant
Financial seed grant up to ₹30 Lakhs provided to build minimum viable prototypes, test machinery, and file patents.
Market Assistance
Assistance grant for marketing, field testing, commercial launch campaigns, and trade exhibition deployments.
Eligibility Requirements
- Startup entity must be registered or incorporated in the State of Gujarat.
- The entity must hold recognition from the Govt of Gujarat / DPIIT as an innovative startup.
- The startup must be actively incubated or endorsed through an approved Nodal Institute like GUSEC.
- The venture should demonstrate original IP, technology innovation, or scalable business deployment.
