STARTfest is the hunt for the best startup ideas from the Gujarat University ecosystem. An initiative by GUSEC, STARTfest aims to scout, guide and support the students who are willing to work on their ideas and take the plunge into entrepreneurship. Designed exclusively for GU students!
– Student of Gujarat University or any GU-affiliated college.
– Individuals or teams, both are eligible to apply.
– Individuals / teams should apply only for one idea for STARTfest.
– The lead applicant must be a student of GU. Other team members may be a students or professionals.
Phase 1: Apply online

Phase 2: Pitch
Selected applicants would be called at their nearest college hubs where they will present their 2-minute elevator pitch in front of jury members. Shortlisted applicants would be further selected for a 2-day boot camp.
Phase 3: Boot camp
Bootcamp will be a crash course on the basics of starting up. It would include expert sessions on various topics relevant to early-stage ideas after which participants would be mentored for their pitch. It will be followed by a pitch competition on day-2 from which the top 15 teams would be selected for the pre-incubation.
Phase 4: Felicitation and Recognition
Winning teams would be felicitated on GUSEC foundation day by eminent dignitaries.
