The VSCIC is envisaged as a platform to institutionalize efforts of the Gujarat University Startup and Entrepreneurship Council (GUSEC) and UNICEF office of Gujarat to identify, nurture and promote innovations by children.

CIF 2020 is an initiative by GUSEC with UNICEF. CIF 2020 aims to identify, nurture and support ideas and innovations of children. Children under the age of 18 are encouraged to apply for CIF with their innovative ideas. Shortlisted ideas will get access to online bootcamps, a chance to exhibit their ideas and the resources like mentorship, funds, etc. to turn their ideas into reality!

Application window for Children Innovation Festival 2020 is now closed as of 11:59 PM IST on December 17, 2020. How to Apply

  1. Check if you are eligible: Read the eligibility criteria below to understand if you are eligible to apply.
  2. Apply using the online form: Use the form linked on this page to submit your application.
  3. Details in the form: The form will ask details about you, your team members and your idea.
  4. What idea to apply with? Your idea can be anything. We have identified a number of sectors below, but your idea can belong to a sector outside these too!

Why should I apply

Certificate, Bootcamp & Learnings

All participants with complete applications will get a certificate and shortlisted applicants will get a chance to attend an online bootcamp, where you will get a chance to learn about innovation, entrepreneurship and how to take your innovative idea to the next stage.

A chance to turn your idea into reality

After the bootcamp, all applicants will pitch to a panel of experts. The panel will handpick the top selected ideas who will get up to 2 years of startup and innovation support at GUSEC which will include mentorship, funding, grants, resources, connections, network and much more to help you convert your idea into reality.

Eligibility Criteria: Who can apply?

  • Any individual or group of individuals with all individuals under the age of 18
  • Only one application per innovator will be considered
  • No participant (applicant or team member) should be in college or have completed class 12th education

Idea Sectors of CIF2020

Children may apply for ideas from one or more of these sectors. In case your idea does not fit any of these sectors, you still are welcome to apply for your idea!
