GUSEC:

Innovations knows no boundaries or discipline. The world is incomplete without innovation, and we aim to help the harbingers of change to our best of capacities. Drew Houston (Co-Founder, Dropbox) said: “Don’t worry about failure; you only have to be right once.” And, at GUSEC, we provide that free reign to conquer your inhibitions and try your way to succeed.

GUSEC is Gujarat University’s flagship startup incubator with a vision and mission to convert 1% of university students into innovators and entrepreneurs. Over the last 2 years, GUSEC has built an accelerated growth ecosystem for early-stage entrepreneurs with access to on-ground support on mentorship, funding, network and resources. Our vision is enabling dreamers to convert their ideas while removing the barriers of limited access and helping them build their dreams.

Endless Support

GUSEC is recognised and funded as a NIDHI Technology Business Incubator by the National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB) of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. GUSEC is also the implementing body for the Student Startup and Innovation Policy of Gujarat, and a Nodal Institution for disbursing “Startup Gujarat” grants under the Gujarat Industrial Policy 2015.

GUSEC has been functioning since February 2016 and was inaugurated by the Education Minister of Gujarat Shri Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, with the faith that it will emulate the Gujarat startup ecosystem and redefine entrepreneurship. The organisation has had the energy of young blood and the guidance of the experts since the beginning. Our startups, time and again, have been felicitated and recognised by esteemed guests and influencers like Hon’ble President of India Ramnath Kovind, Hon’ble Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Union Home Minister Mr Rajnath Singh, Hon’ble Union Minister Mr Suresh Prabhu, and Mrs Asha Jadeja Motwani amongst many others.

The innovators are not only exposed to the opportunity of earning monetary benefits, but the in-house network of specialists provide necessary guidance in all matters, from financial, legal to technical.
